i agree. good etiquette is very important as it lasts life long. Kids should be taught to cover their mouths when they cough and wash their hands afterward.Please do suggest some ways of preventing them as this would be more helpful for the parents.

good article. Several of these childhood illnesses are viral or bacterial infections. That means they are preventable to some extent by encouraging your child to keep hands clean with soap and water. Practicing good "cough etiquette" is another important way of reducing the spread of childhood illnesses.

quite an informative article. kids are more prone to ear infections because of the structure of the ear. I remember my kid used to have frequent ear infections and pus used to come out of it. I was very concerned about the frequency and used to wonder whether it could damage her hearing.
